You typically set this up once:\n\n   ```bash\n   git remote add upstream https://github.com/original/repo.git\n   ```\n\n   **NOTE:** Depicts an application, that presents where a remote is used in github.\n\n   Replace the URL with the URL of the original repository.\n\n2. **Fetch Upstream Changes:**\n\n   Fetch the latest changes from the upstream repository:\n\n   ```bash\n   git fetch upstream\n   ```\n\n3. **Merge Upstream Changes:**\n\n   Merge the fetched changes from the upstream repository into your local branch:\n\n   ```bash\n   git merge upstream/main\n   ```\n\n   Replace `main` with the name of the base branch in the upstream repository (often `main` or `master`).\n\n4. **Resolve Conflicts (if any):**\n\n   If there are conflicts between your changes and the upstream changes, Git will notify you.
